Having trained with Dermot for the past 9 years, I can honestly say that he's one of the best fitness instructors I've ever worked with! What sets Dermot apart is how he makes everyone feel welcome, regardless of their fitness level or background. He has this incredible 'can do' attitude that's genuinely infectious - one of his sweatshirts even says 'Nothing is Impossible' and that really sums up his approach. His encouragement over the years has helped me break several personal bests in my running, and he continues to inspire me to push for new PBs while constantly improving in calisthenics. Dermot brings real structure and discipline to his sessions, but he does it in a way that builds you up rather than breaks you down. The best way I can describe Dermot is someone for whom you want to push yourself to the max.
Why? I think it’s because he is an inspirational guy. Multi talented, both in and outside the exercise arena, a passionate conservationist, a champion of those less privileged, and just an all round thoroughly decent guy.
I’ve been lucky enough to train with Dermot in both a group bootcamp setting, and 1-2-1 calisthenics sessions. And one thing is for certain, he has got more out of me than I ever thought possible.
His bootcamp sessions strike the perfect balance between an intense work out and a commitment to continual improvement in technique and strength. I have honestly seen people improve ten fold within six months compared to the level at which they’ve operated for years prior.
But it’s the personal calisthenics training which has been utterly transformational for me personally. My strength level is unrecognisable to where I was before we started. I am now doing some of the more advanced technical skills, mastering moves I believed would be simply impossible for me to achieve.
It’s tough, sometimes extremely tough. But I’ll keep coming back with a smile. Even if it turns quickly to a grimace.

Dermot is an outstanding PT. He is professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. He has worked with my son for a couple of years, and in this time my son's fitness has improved immensely and his confidence in his physical ability has grown tremendously. My son has complex SEN, and Dermot is patient, kind, and tailors the session to what my son wants to do and how he's feeling at the time. As well as the physical training aspect, my son enjoys Dermot's company.
